Description
Description
The Rutland 914i marine wind turbine from Marlec is a popular choice for use on boats, including for liveaboards and coastal sailing, plus also inland and narrow boats.
Key features:
- Fantastic power output for its size (just 910mm rotor diameter)
- Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) technology
- Produces 140W at 11m/s wind speeds
- Low cut-in wind speed of 3 m/s
- Very quiet operation
- 2-year warranty
To prevent battery overcharging, we recommend using the Rutland HRSi or HRDi charge regulators.
The Rutland 914i wind generator is available in 12V and 24V versions.
Following the long success of the Rutland 913, the Rutland 914i is capable of generating 30% more power with the same diameter.
(NB. The Rutland 914i wind turbine is not suitable for land-based applications and the manufacturer's warranty will not cover land based installations. Instead we recommend the Rutland FM910-4 Furlmatic wind turbine which is the land version of this popular turbine).
