Description
Description
Be under no illusion, the American made AIR X wind turbine from Ryse Energy is the most ubiquitous wind turbine in the world with over 160,000 units operating today. The simplicity of installation, combined with its light weight, high quality, reliability, survivability and impressive power output make it the most popular turbine in its class.
The AIR X MARINE wind turbine is a proven AIR X unit with a maritime anti-corrosion coating and is designed for high wind environments. The unit can be further tailored for a medium wind environment with the addition of the ‘Silent Carbon Blue Blade’ option.
The AIR X MARINE incorporates a three-phase brushless permanent magnet alternator and microprocessor to optimize its power production capability. The microprocessor continuously adjusts the loading of the alternator to keep the blades operating at their optimal angle of attack. The result is a higher power production, higher blade efficiency and reduced sound emissions.
Like most wind turbines, the AIR X Marine can also be easily used with solar PV systems and the user manual provides a helpful wiring diagram for this.
With a built-in circuit board and optimized software, the AIR X MARINE consistently delivers energy where it matters. The AIR X MARINE’s heavy-duty design can withstand most high wind environments and is built and backed by the worldwide leader in small wind power. All AIR X Marine units come with an impressive three year warranty.
With simple routine maintenance, high quality components and a global supply chain of available spare parts mean these units simply keep on going. Here at EcoPowerShop.com we have seen units still operating in excess of 25 years!
The AIR wind turbines require very little routine maintenance, however when problems occur and a spare part or advice is needed urgently we are there for you. With a large stock of AIR wind turbine parts and worldwide express shipping, we are on hand to keep your AIR turbine operational. That said, whatever turbine you have, if you are planning a long ocean voyage in remote places it is always a good idea to have some basic spare parts with you.
AIR X Marine Features:
- Lightweight 5.9 kg - ideal for racing yachts where weight is at a premium.
- American made using high-quality components for reliability and safety.
- Easy to use with solar PV for increased energy production in all environments.
- Advanced microprocessor technology for superior optimised performance and high wind protection without mechanical braking.
- Lightweight design is simple and easy-to-install; integrated power electronics for plug-and-play operation.
- Produces 30 kWh of energy a month* for marine-based, high wind applications.
- Intended for corrosive marine environments.
* at 5.5 m/s (12 mph)
Mounting Pole:
The AIR range of wind turbines require a mounting pole of 48.0mm external diameter, this is a standard scaffold pole size tube. For use on boats, the AIR turbines can be used with the Rutland 1200 Mounting Kit by adding by adding a 4.0mm thick rubber sleeve insert.
